Free camping on the field.

Dawn Patrol flying - hay ride - Tour the old homeplace
Airplane Arrivals.
Scrapbook booth. Aviation History - Local History.
Food truck for lunch and dinner.
Golden Hour - sunset flying.
7:00 pm - 11:00 pm Texas Swing Hangar Dance
And kids activities
Free Camping on the field.

9:30 am Memorial time, Worship, and Gospel Singing

Deer pasture is situated in the Heart of Texas, also called Central Texas Hill Country.
We are just off Hwy. 281 half way between
Lampasas, TX (10 mi. N) & Burnet, TX (10 mi. S).
We are roughly
50 mi NW of downtown Austin, TX,
75 mi. SW of Waco, TX
150 mi. SSW of the Dallas-Ft. Worth TX metroplex,
90 mi N of San Antonio, TX

No Radio Communication

HOST NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ACCIDENTS
Participate at your own risk. Watch our for each other and for the kids.
Have a fun time, safely.
Please obey directions from field crew (wearing yellow-green shirts).
ON THE FIELD
Be aware of your surroundings and stay clear of the airplanes.
DO NOT TOUCH ANY AIRPLANE without the owner's permission.
Keep motor vehicles off the infield unless authorized by the field crew.
NO PETS ALLOWED unless on a leash. (service dogs included).
Stay
off the runway. Visitors and photographers may walk around either end
of the runway to explore the grounds within the fenced area.
Do not cross any fence without an escort by one of the field crew..
PILOTS
Call ahead to check runway field conditions and winds.
Do not attempt to land at Deer Pasture unless you are experienced with grassroots airfield operations. Know your proficiency and do not take chances around other airplanes and people.
TAXI Slowly - watch out for people.
No back-taxi on the runway. Taxi off the runway.
Runup in clear area aside each end of runway.
No delay when on the runway.
NO HAND PROPPING without a trained assistant.
Park along marked areas only.
Please be sure your airplane is tied down when unattended.
If in doubt, move off the runway, shut down, and find the field crew for instruction.
Please obey directions from field crew (wearing yellow-green shirts).
OBEY FLAGGER (if present)
Steady Green - go, takeoff, or land
Waving green - no delay
Steady Red - stop, do not land
Waving Red - get off runway - go around IN THE AIR
Follow all FAA rules and regulations
Visual Flight Rules - Day Only
The airfield traffic will operate with NO RADIO frequency.
** Most vintage planes do not have radio equipment. **
Therefore LOOK - See - Be Seen.
Pilots and Passengers WATCH FOR TRAFFIC
FLY-BY's OK - down the runway only.
No high speed passes - No zoom climbs or high speed pull ups.
Unless you are flying a Clipwing Monocoupe.
Be predictable.
Kelly, we would predict nothing less than a hair raising pass! Formation flying is at your own risk.
For safety of all, keep formations above tree tops and within normal traffic pattern flow.
